19 years have passed since Jan.17, 1995, when Hanshin Awaji Great Earthquake had hit Kobe & all the other affected cities & towns in Hanshin Awaji Region in Western part of Japan.
It was such a terrible disaster when 6,434 persons lost their precious lives due to the earthquake & the fire which was caused by the terrible quake.
Makenaizo (Never Give up Elephant) was born in Kobe soon after this big earthquake at one of the temporary housings there.
Since then, Makenaizo Elephants have been spreading from Kobe to all over Japan & the world where they bring the power & the smile that make the affected people not only in the affected areas in Japan but in other parts of the world cheered up so much.
R0024984We will always remember the day of Hanshin Awaji Great Earthquake, and all the ather days when lots of affected people suffered from the disaster all over the world.
We will never stop supporting this project until the very last person who makes this elephant-shaped cute hanging towels graduates from Makenaizo Project.
Never give up! Makenaizo!!!
